LINDSBORG — Hoisington/Central Plains pitcher Ellie Crawford delivered a victory and contributed five RBI in a 14-3, 16-3 Central Kansas League softball doubleheader sweep over Smoky Valley.

CARDINALS 14, VIKINGS 3 (G1) — Crawford (9-4) struck out eight batters and yielded one earned run in a dominant start. 

Gabby Reif and Mackenzie Foulger each drove home three runs. Mea Sneath and Brynn Tarlton each had a pair of RBI. Marley Brewer, Crawford, Reece Aylward each drove in one run. The Cardinals opened with a 6-run first inning.

Smoky Valley's Kate Griffin and Alexis Gordon homered.

CARDINALS 16, VIKINGS 3 (G2) — Hoisington's Crawford ripped a 2-run homer and a 2-run double. Gabby Reif, Aylward, Sneath and Kelsi Maier drove in runs. 

Cardinal pitcher Tarlton (6-2) threw four shutout innings and struck out six batters.

The Vikings collapsed defensively with 11 errors that led to 11 unearned runs. The Cardinals scored seven runs on Viking errors.

Viking Rylie Tolle drove in two runs.
