Cardinals win Ellsworth tennis title

ELLSWORTH — Hoisington's No. 1 singles Jasper Pawlowski, No. 2 singles Brody Rossman and No. 2 doubles Kian DeLong/Xander Mooney placed first as the Cardinals won the Ellsworth tennis title April 3 with 67 points.

In championship matches, Jasper Pawlowski defeated Cimarron's Landon Houseman, 8-2; Rossman downed Cimarron's Jacob Pando 8-4; and DeLong/Mooney defeated Trego's Lucas Dreher/Mason Yingling 8-6.

Trego's No. 1 doubles Graeden Deines/Camdyn Flavin edged Hoisington's Leyton Mooney/Gabriel Pawlowski, 8-7 (7-2) in a tiebreaker.
