OSBORNE — Central Plains will earn the No. 1 1A Division 1 state seed after beating Sylvan/Lucas 56-52 in Friday's Osborne 1A Division 1 basketball substate.

Oiler Brodie Crites shook off aggressive Mustang defense with 26 points, 11 in the fourth quarter including six clinching free throws. Camden Stiles converted six 3-pointers for 18 points.

Mustangs Carter Johnson (14), 6-7 Lane Brokes (12) and Vance Dohl (12) scored in double figures.

The Oilers (23-2) will play Rosalia Flinthills (15-8) Tuesday in the 1A quarterfinals at a site announced Saturday.
