HALSTEAD — Central Kansas League softball leader Halstead powered past Larned 10-0 and 7-2 to stay unbeaten. Halstead (16-0, 14-0 CKL) drops Larned to 9-9, 4-8 CKL. 

HALSTEAD 10, LARNED 0 (G1) — Halstead pitcher Kaci Young struck out 10 batters in a 4-hit shutout. Larned's Karley Lemuz  singled twice and Eowyn Hedding and Maya WIlson.

Kaci Young doubled twice and drove in three runs. Addison Thompson and Thea Boese each drove in two runs. Kaci Young, Boese and Brett Young delivered first-inning RBI.

Thompson drove home Daynica Euwer and Kaci Young's scored on a fourth-inning error after her 2-run double scored Hayla Cooper and Thompson. Cooper, Thompson and Boese delivered RBI in a 3-run fifth inning that ended the game.

HALSTEAD 7, LARNED 2 (G2) — Larned Jillian Hagerman scored on an error and doubled home Gillian Smith for Indian runs. Pitcher Jadyn Crosby kept the Indians within 4-2 after five innings.

Halstead's Boese and Brett Young each drove in two runs. Boese singled home Kaci Young in the first. Kaci Young scored on a groundout. Callyn Divine scored on a groundout. Brett Young scored on Sloane Linton's single.

Boese singled in Thompson and Boese scored on Brett Young's single in a 3-run sixth. Kaci Young scored on a double steal.
