ST. JOSEPH, Mo.  — Ellinwood left-hander pitcher Cohen Gunn fashioned his second consecutive no-hitter in a 4-2 victory over Falls City, Neb.

Gunn (3-0, 0.00 ERA) was dominant for his third straight start with 13 strikeouts in 62/3 innings. Gunn has yielded two hits and recorded 44 strikeouts in 172/3 innings.

Ellinwood's Gunn scored on a Shea Hoskins third-inning bunt. Gunn scored on an error after he doubled and Banks Jacobs also scored on a sixth-inning error. Noah Herrman scored on a bases-loaded walk.

Falls City's Jaiden Willman walked and scored on a 2-out passed ball. Vaden Layden scored on a fifth-inning error and scored on a 2-out error.

EAGLES 7, NORTH PLATTE, NEB. 5 (G2) — Reliever Shae Hoskins retired the final batter to strand the tying baserunner on base. Ellinwood (5-3) won its fourth consecutive game.

Eagle pitcher Drake Hosman struck out seven batters.

In a 4-run first, Drake Hosman scored on a bases-loaded walk, Gunn scored on a hit batter, Trace Tudor scored on a groundout and Caleb Herrman scored on Noah Herrrman's single.

Hosman scored on another bases-loaded second-inning walk for a 5-0 lead. Hosman scored on a fourth-inning groundout. Caleb Herrman scored on a seventh-inning double steal with Hoskins.

Hosman and Cade Coleman yielded five unearned runs in the final two innings.
