Eagles' Cohen Gunn sparks baseball split

HOISINGTON — Ellinwood pitcher Cohen Gunn struck out 15 batters in an 11-0 victory over Hoisington to salvage a split of Friday's non-league baseball doubleheader. Gunn recorded all 15 Cardinal outs on strikeouts in the 5-inning affair.

HOISINGTON 12, ELLINWOOD 11 (G1) — Hoisington's Rhen Galla scored the tying run and Marcus Ingram scored the winning run on  passed balls.

Ellinwood led 11-10 after 61/2 innings.

ELLINWOOD 11, HOISINGTON 0 (G2) — Hoisington's Banks Jacobs drove home four runs.
