BENNINGTON — Ellinwood's 3-event state champion Reagan Wirtz kicked off the 2026 track season with first-place medals in the 100 meters (13.24), 200 meters (27.53) and long jump (18-2).

Ellinwood's other first-place medal winners were Avery Panning, 300m hurdles (55.14); Eleanor Joiner, 800 (2:26.41); 1,600m relay, 4:23.12 (Panning, Wirtz, Lexi Thomas, Joiner); and Ryan Pohlman, 1,600m (5:00.9).

Runner-up medal winners were 400 girls field relay; 1:02.66 (Addison Stickney, Wesner, Rouse, Zolley); and the 3,200 girls relay, 10;52.52 (Borror, Lauren Ringwald, Madison Dombroski, Kyla McCormick); and the 1,600m relay, 3:44.6 (Cannon Schartz, Kellen Behnke, Gabe Martinez, Dawson Sunderland)
