ELLINWOOD GIRLS 82, LYONS 14 — The No. 1 ranked 2A Ellinwood Eagle girls roared past the Lyons Lions 82-14 in Friday's non-league basketball game. Ellinwood (14-1) led 49-8 at halftime.
Ellinwood's Mette Maxwell (20), Alyvia Batchman (13), Julia Schlessiger (11) and Brynn Widener (10) scored in double figures.. The Eagles converted a dozen 3-point shots.

LYONS 49, ELLINWOOD 46 — Drake Hosman's 22-point effort was nearly enough in a hard-fought 49-46 non-league basketball setback to Lyons. Layton Wirtz and Austin Brack added eight points apiece.
Hosman scored five points and Wirtz converted two free throws to slice a 47-39 deficit to 49-46. But Lyons' Tegan Link stole the basketball on Ellinwood's final attempt to tie.
Link led Lyons with 16 points.
