ELLINWOOD GIRLS 58, MEDICINE LODGE 55 (1ST) — The Ellinwood girls (4-0) stayed unbeaten with a hard-fought 58-55 championship victory over Medicine Lodge in the Kiowa County Shootout.
The Eagles capture the Kiowa County Shootout for the second consecutive year by beating Medicine Lodge (4-1).
"The girls play through adversity tonight with Julia Schlessiger in foul trouble and Alyvia Batchman going down with an ankle injury," said Ellinwood coach Greg Maxwell. "I was pleased with the response and how they were able to find a way to win against a good basketball team."

MEDICINE LODGE 50, ELLINWOOD 49 — Medicine Lodge outscored Ellinwood 50-49 behind nine 3-pointers and 11 of 14 foul shooting. Jack Schreiner (12) and Mavrik Inslee (11) scored in double figures at the Kiowa County Shootout.
Ellinwood's Drake Hosman (15) Layton Wirtz (13) and Luke Heinz (11) scored in double figures. The Indians lost two tight ballgames at the Kiowa County Shootout.
