Hall sparks Panther swimmers

SALINA – Western Athletic Conference Swimmer of the Year Emilee Hall enjoyed a near-perfect start with an individual gold medal and two relay first-place medals at the Salina South Swimming Invitational.

Hall won the 100 backstroke (1:08.21) with a state consideration time and competed on the first-place 200 medley relay and 200 free relay.

Great Bend’s girls placed first (315) ahead of Salina South (261).

Hall, Clarise Snapp, Ally Howard and Josephine Mazouch qualified for the 5-1A state swimming meet in the 200 medley relay (2:07.03). Hall, Sydney Kruckenberg, Braylee Carper and Josephine Mazouch (1:57.48) earned a state consideration time in the 200 freestyle relay

Hall placed runner-up in the 50 free (28.13) with Josephine Mazouch (28.18) placing third.

Panther Josephine Mazouch won the 100 free (1:02.03 with a state consideration time.

Darcy Feist finished runner-up in the 200 free (2:30.73) and Braylee Carper placed third (2:32.97).  Carper placed third in the 500 free (6:53.57).

Snapp placed third in the 200 IM (2:57.72) and 100 breaststroke (1:22.82).

The 400 free relay team of Kruckenberg, Feist, Snapp and Carper finished third (4:33.44).
