Both teams traded turnovers in the fourth quarter and Lakin used its ball control offense to wear time off of the clock but with just 2:01 remaining in the game, Larned’s Grady Pinkston recovered a Lakin fumble at the Larned 20-yard line and the Indians had life.

With only one timeout, the Indians shifted entirely to the passing game and eventually got across midfield but came up a half a yard short on a fourth down play and turned the ball over on downs at Lakin’s 35-yard line with just 24 seconds remaining and Lakin then ran one play that ended the game.
