HALSTEAD — The Larned Indians extended their Central Kansas League winning streak to eight games with a 7-3 and 7-2 baseball sweep of Halstead.

LARNED 7, HALSTEAD 3 (G1) — Larned pitcher Reese Morgan threw 69 pitches with no walks to earn the victory.

Carson Shaver and Morgan each drove in two runs. Easton Fox scored on a wild pitch and Corbyn Nance scored on a groundout before Deacon Martin singled in Regan for a 3-0 lead. In a 4-run fourth inning, Regan doubled home Nance, Shaver singled home Regan and Morgan singled in Shaver and Deacon Martin.

Halstead's Ben Schulte, Cayden Cornejo and Greyson Swift drove in runs in a 3-run fourth inning.

LARNED 7, HALSTEAD 2 (G2) — Larned's Tristan Regan threw five solid innings and Shaver threw two shutout inning for a save.

Larned's Shaver tripled and scored two runs. Shaver scored on a groundout and Martin scored on a first-inning error.  Anthony Gonzalez scored on a fifth-inning groundout. Shaver scored on a sixth-inning wild pitch.

In a 3-run seventh, Morgan scored on Camden Bird's single,  Mason Miller scored on a Andres Martinez single and Martinez scored on a wild pitch.

Halstead's Brock Odendahl and Zach Gavlak drove in runs.
