Oiler Eli Hurley busts loose for 5 touchdowns

GOESSEL — Tailback Eli Hurley enjoyed a career night with four rushing touchdowns and a 34-yard punt return in the Oilers’ 50-0 victory over Goessel in 8-Man 1, District 3. Hurley scored on runs of 1, 3, 5 and 36 yards behind the Oiles’ excellent blocking up front.

Receiver Aiden Hekele caught three passes for 49 yards with 10- and 23-yard scoring strikes from quarterback Brodie Crites. The Oilers took advantage of superb field position with 86 yards rushing and 105 yards passing.

Central Plains (4-1, 2-0 District) scored four rushing and two passing touchdowns. Goessel (1-4, 0-2) gained 31 yards rushing and 23 yards passing.
