CENTRAL PLAINS GIRLS 52, LA CROSSE 42 — Central Plains' Marilyn Soeken scored 22 points and Aevyn Siemsen added 21 clutch points as the Oilers held off pesky La Crosse 52-42 in Friday's Central Prairie League basketball game. The No. 4 ranked 1A Oilers outscored the Leopards 11-4 in the fourth quarter.

The Oilers (14-3, 6-1) remain tied for first place with St. John and Ellinwood in the loss column.

Brodie Crites scored 14 points and Homecoming Kind Aiden Hekele added 11 points. The Oilers (14-3, 6-1 CPL) stay tied with Victoria for first place.
