Great Bend's soccer team enjoyed its highest quality match of the season in a hard-fought 1-0 setback Tuesday to Western Athletic Conference runner-up Liberal.

Diego Pavia scored a goal for the Redskins (12-3, 5-2 WAC) against inspired goalie Eli Contreras.

The Panthers (1-13-1, 0-8 WAC) play McPherson (8-7) Thursday at Cavanaugh Field to close out the 2025 season.
