Great Bend's Matthew Williams (6:48.95) earned a runner-up 500-yard freestyle finish with one of seven season-best times for the Panthers in Monday's swimming meet at the Barton Cougar pool. Mark Sperlein (7:08.22) placed runner-up and Jordan Sander (7:16.19) finished with a season-best time.

Posting season-best times in the 50 freestyle were seventh-place Logan Urban (29.77); ninth-place Leo Bashor, (36.67) and 10th place Tyler Scheuerman (37.32).

Kale Mermis placed fifth (2:32.87) and Sander finished sixth (2:34.33) with season-best times in the 200-yard freestyle..

Manhattan (581) and Garden City (468) finished ahead of Great Bend (371).
