OLATHE — Great Bend freshman Decorah Schroeter (18:57.2) earned 20th medalist honors in Saturday's 5-kilometer Olathe Twilight race, one the state's largest cross country gathering.

Great Bend's Brogan Lashley (17:03.6) finished 80th in the super competitive boys division. Great Bend placed 34th in the multi-state event with 915 points.

Eagles, Tigers compete at Wamego

WAMEGO — Ellinwood's returning state qualifier Ryan Pohlman (18:27.9) earned 20th medalist honors at Saturday's 2025 Wamego cross country invitational, a preview at the state course. St. John's Aaden Gonzalez (18:28.6) ran right on Pohlman's heels with a 21st-place finish.

Ellinwood's returning state qualifier Eleanor Joiner (23:09.48) placed 26th in the girls division at Wamego Country Club. Ellinwood's Jenna Borror (23:55.52) placed 31st in the girls division.
