Panthers earn runner-up medals at Junction City

JUNCTION CITY — Great Bend freshman Mikalya Minton placed second in the 100-meter hurdles (17.52) and 300-meter hurdles (50.32) to highlight five runner-up medals at Thursday's Junction City track invitational.

Other runner-up medals were earned by returning state qualifier Cassie Ellegood, high jump (5-0);  Kimmie Hofflinger, javelin ( 106-0) and Ismael Ramirez, 1,600 (4:33.8), who also earned third place in the 800 meters (2:03.97).
