Panthers' Feist signs with Fort Hays

Great Bend Panther Kara Feist signs a letter of intent to play volleyball at Fort Hays State University. Feist earned second-team All-Western Athletic honors for the 2-time WAC champions. Feist is joined by her father Dan Feist, mother Kelly Feist, Great Bend volleyball coach Shelly Duvall and Matt Westerhaus, Great Bend athletics director.

Great Bend Panther Kara Feist signs a letter of intent to play volleyball at Fort Hays State University. Feist earned second-team All-Western Athletic honors for the 2-time WAC champions. Great Bend (35-5) broke a school record for wins in a season. The Panthers lost to Lenexa St. James, Wichita Kapaun-Mt. Carmel and Andover at the 5A state volleyball tournament.

The lefthander Feist ranked first with 75 blocks and a .282 hitting percentage on 214 winners. Feist contributed 52 serves, 41 digs and 17 serves received.
