Panthers' Ohnmacht wins triple jump

SALINA — Defending 5A triple jump champion Cooper Ohnmacht stayed consistent with a first-place medal (46-6) at Friday's Salina Central Track Invitational. Ohnmacht placed runner-up in the long jump (21-61/2).

Panther 800-meter runner Ismael Ramirez (1:58.1) and 3,200-meter runner Tavon Stroup (10:08.7) ran season-best times while placing runner-up.

The Panther girls captured the 1,600-meter relay with a season-best time (4:15.0) with Reese Bullard, Micah Ellegood, Mikala Minton, and Brooklynn Kelly.
