KIOWA COUNTY 67, PAWNEE HEIGHTS 49 — The Pawnee Heights boys finished strong on Senior Night despite a 63-49 Southern Plains Iroquois basketball setback to Kiowa County.
The Tigers featured freshman Helder Ibarra (21), senior Logan Enanbit (14) and sophomore Cody Holste (10) in double figures and made six 3-pointers. The Tigers (2-19) play at Otis-Bison Monday in the 1A Colby substate.
Kiowa County's McDonald (22), Hogan (15) and Campbell (15) scored in double figures.
The game was switched to Burdett after a plumbing issue at the high school in Rozel.
“The Pawnee Heights Administration, staff, students and community members did a great job on short notice preparing the Burdett gym for Senior Night after major plumbing issues at Rozel," said Tiger basketball coach John Giffin. "The atmosphere was incredible, and the gym was packed. On Hall of Fame Night, it was cool to see that alumni and former educators were recognized.”
