CLAFLIN – Victoria backs Matthew Pfeifer and Chase Schumacher each scored two touchdowns as the Knights roared past Central Plains 48-0 in Eight-Man 2, District 5 football. Victoria (3-1, 1-0) and Sylvan-Lucas (4-0, 1-0) won opening District 5 games while the Oilers (3-1, 0-1 District) lose their first football game.

The Knights used an effective ground attack behind a powerful offensive line. Pfeifer scored on 8 and 11-yard runs. Schumacher scored on 5 and 27-yard runs. Quarterback Landon Schmidtberger completed a 28-yard touchdown pass to Weston Scherrer.

Pfeifer rushed for 101 yards and Schumacher gained 65 yards. Schmidtberger was a perfect 3-3 passing for 46 yards and one touchdown.

The Oilers were held to 60 yards offense.
