2023 Cross Country Regional Champions

HAYS —Great Bend's Western Athletic Conference runner-up Teegan Guerra (15:37.32) sparked six medalists in the top 10. The Panthers (22) defended their WAC title ahead of runner-up Dodge City (57). Garden City's Kate Wiese (15:19.97) captured first place.

Other Panther top 10 finishers were third-place Marissa Boone, 16:08.49; fourth-place Bella Long, 16:11.98; fifth-place Sienna Smith,  16:28.22; eighth-place Teah King, 16:58.91; and ninth-place Kate Welcher, 17:10.07.

PANTHER BOYS — Ismael Ramirez (16:32.74) placed fourth and Tavon Stroup (16:38.24) finished sixth to lead the Panthers (64) to runner-up behind Garden City (18) and Buffalo medalist Hayden Nemechek (15:59.64). 

The Panthers also counted 13th-place Diego Pasos, 17:40.71; 19th-place Anthony Lawrence, 18:00.83; and 24th-place Isaac Aldana, 18:25.22.

LARNED — Hoisington's 3-time state qualifier Kamden Tarlton (17:31.14) earned back-to-back Central Kansas League medalist honors.

Hoisington's Brody Rossman (18:23.68) placed fifth. 

Cardinal Tianna Lutters (21:58.34) earned sixth medalist honors and teammate Tristin Compton (22:45.45) placed 10th.

Smoky Valley's Esther Clark (20:24.89) earned medalist honors.
