Get ready to add some color to your summer! The Ellinwood School/Community Library is excited to launch its annual Summer Library Reading Program with this year’s vibrant theme: Color Our World. The program runs from June 3 to July 3 and is open to children from ages 3 through 6th grade.

Participants can choose to attend either Tuesdays or Thursdays from 10–10:30 a.m., where they’ll enjoy read-alouds, crafts, and fun activities designed to keep young minds engaged and imaginations thriving.

Weekly Sessions: Week 1: June 3 or June 5; Week 2: June 10 or June 12; Week 3: June 17 or June 19; Week 4: June 24 or June 26; Week 5: July 1 or July 3

The program wraps up with a special End of Summer Library Bash on July 3, bringing all participants together for a final celebration of reading and creativity.

In addition to the youth program, St. John’s CDC will join in on Wednesdays, and the library is also offering an independent reading challenge for middle schoolers, high school students, and adults—making sure there’s something for everyone.

Registration is required, and the deadline to sign up is May 30. Visit or call the library to reserve your spot and learn more.

Let’s make this summer a colorful adventure in reading!
