RUSH COUNTY – The Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI) is assisting the Rush County Sheriff’s Office with a death investigation in Liebenthal, Kansas.

The Rush County Sheriff’s Office requested KBI assistance at approximately 12 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 8. KBI agents and the Crime Scene Response Team responded.

An adult male was located deceased inside a recreational vehicle parked at a residence in the 100 block of Court Street in Liebenthal.

Preliminary investigation indicates no evidence of foul play, and no autopsy has been ordered. The name of the deceased is being withheld pending next-of-kin notifications.
