HUDSON — Don Eugene Cartlidge, 70, passed away May 13, 2026, at Via Christi St. Francis, Wichita, Kan. He was born Feb. 20, 1956, in Great Bend, to James M. and Lucy E. (Keal) Cartlidge. Don married Tambra Estes Aug. 18, 2003, in Great Bend. She survives.

Don, a lifetime resident of Great Bend and Hudson, drove truck for Bulk Transportation Company (BTC), hauling Ethanol and Oil throughout the Southern Midwest. Previous to driving truck, Don pumped wells for several different local area oil producers. He was an avid hunter, and in his younger years enjoyed baseball and skeet shooting.

Survivors include his wife, Tambra Cartlidge, of the home; two step sons Chris Gray (Missi) of Cimarron, and Michael Gray (Christy) of Hoisington; three step daughters, Tabitha Gray of Great Bend, Heather Castelan (Carlos) of Harrisonville, Mo., and JoAnna Gray of Mitchellville, Iowa; one sister, Patsy Freese of Columbia, S.C.; sister in law, Karen Cartlidge of Shawnee Mission; eight grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Mike Cartlidge; and granddaughter, JuneAnna Marie Cruz-Gray.

A private family inurnment will take place at Great Bend Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made out to Don Cartlidge Expense Fund, in care of Bryant Funeral Home, 1425 Patton Rd., Great Bend, KS 67530. Condolences may be sent and notice viewed atwww.bryantfh.net.
