TOPEKA — Jon Randall ‘Randy’ Keller, 78, passed away Feb. 15, 2026 surrounded by his family at Midland Hospice House in Topeka, Kan. He was born on Feb. 11, 1948, in Colby, Kan., to John F. and Marilyn A. (Zickefoose) Keller. Randy married Mary H. Lairmore in Newton, Kan. on Aug. 29, 1970.
Randy was a resident of Great Bend prior to moving to Topeka in 1983. He worked in customer support for Jack Henry & Associates. He was a loving husband/father and proud grandfather who enjoyed fishing, camping, and was an avid fan of all things KU, Kansas City Chiefs, Royals, and any sport in which his grandchildren were participating. Randy cherished time spent with family, especially lunches with the grandchildren.
Survivors include daughter Jessica Ann Davis (Jeff Dannenberg) of Shawnee, Kan.; his two sons, John ‘Layne’ Keller (Aleasha Keller), of Topeka Kan., and Jared Douglas Keller of Topeka, Kan.; five grandchildren, Sydney C. Davis, Ellie S. Davis, Alexander J. Davis, John ‘Hayden’ Keller, and Jackson Layne Keller. He is also survived by sisters Chris A. Keller of Colorado Springs, Colo. and Patti S. Atkinson (Don Atkinson) of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and brother Kurt M. Keller (Mary Keller) of Pleasant Hill, Mo., and companion Sue Pruett. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary, who passed on Dec. 20, 2008, as well as his parents John F. Keller and Marilyn A. Keller.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Feb. 21, 2026, at Bryant Funeral Home. Graveside service will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, 2026, at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Great Bend, with Pastor Mike Munz presiding. Memorials have been designated to Midland Hospice House in Topeka, KS or American Cancer Society, in care of Bryant Funeral Home, 1425 Patton Rd., Great Bend, KS 67530.
