NORWICH 50, STAFFORD (1ST) — Norwich's defense shut down Stafford's boys 50-36 in the championship game of the Pratt Skyline 54 Basketball Classic. Stafford (3-11) upset Kinsley 70-60 and South Barber 50-47 to qualify for the championship game.
Stafford's Johnson and Marks each scored nine points. Stafford was outscored 12-0 on 3-pointers.
Norwich outscored Stafford 24-10 after a 26-26 halftime tie. Norwich's Lane Hilger scored 18 points and Lucas Adams (11) and Jayden Benge (10) scored in double figures.

STAFFORD 50, SOUTH BARBER 47 — Stafford's boys surprised South Barber 50-47 Wednesday to qualify for the championship game of the Skyline 54 basketball classic.
Jace Kreutzer delivered several key plays in the final minutes. He drew a key charging foul and forced a late South Barber turnover. Jacob Simmons threw a half-court pass to Kreutzer for the go-ahead basket after Austin Swonger's 3-point play gave the Chieftains a 47-46 lead. Kreutzer clinched the victory with two free throws.
Kreutzer scored 20 points with nine rebounds, two assists and two steals. Jacob Simmons added 10 points.
South Barber's Austin Swonger scored 20 points and Isaac Angle added 12 points.

STAFFORD 70, KINSLEY 60 — Stafford's Jacob Simmons scored a career high 31 points keyed by 11 field goals for a 70-60 victory over Kinsley in the Pratt Skyline 54 Classic tournament.
Stafford placed Jace Kreutzer (13) and Jacob Johnson (10) in double figures. Stafford outscored Kinsley 23-17 in the first quarter and 20-15 in the fourth quarter.

KINSLEY GIRLS 36, STAFFORD 28 (3RD) — Kinsley outscored Stafford's girls 36-28 Thursday for third place in the Cunningham 54 Basketball Classic. Kinsley outscored Stafford 14-1 in the final nine minutes after the Trojans led 27-22 on Rylee Ferguson's 3-pointer.
Stafford's Ferguson played brilliantly with a 20-point night. Stafford converted five 3-pointers.
Kinsley's Zaylee Rice scored 18 points and Ava Kirkwood added 10 points. Zaylee Rice followed Kirkwood's basket with a rebound basket for a 30-29 lead.

MEDICINE LODGE GIRLS 62, STAFFORD 20 — Medicine Lodge's stifling defense paved the way for a 50-20 semifinal victory over Stafford's girls at the Cunningham 54 Basketball Classic. The Indians scored 36 points off Stafford turnovers and added eight second-chance points.
The Indians (10-3) placed Emmy Gerdes (14), Emry Shinliver (11) and Claire Cunningham (11) in double figures.
Stafford's Emily Delgadillo scored six points and Roush added five points. Leading scorer Ariana Delgadillo played one quarter.
"We turned the ball over and missed too many 'easy' baskets," said Stafford coach Nick Minks.
