Barton County volleyball delivered a trio of state qualifiers. Class 2A No. 1 ranked Ellinwood (42-0) and No. 4 ranked 3A Hoisington (34-4) also qualified for their respective state tournaments. St. John (27-14) lost to Spearville 25-13, 23-25, 26-24 in a heartbreaker in 1A substate championship match. Ellinwood rolled past Smith Center 25-12, 25-15 in the championship match.
