Panthers qualify six for state
PARK CITY — Great Bend's regional champion Trenton Kern (215) leads three state-ranked wrestlers and six Panthers into the 5A state wrestling tournament at Hartman Arena in Park City Friday and Saturday.

NEWTON —Great Bend's regional champion Camdyn Post (110) headlines seven state 5A wrestling qualifiers at the Newton regional. No. 1 ranked Post pinned Hutchinson's Aaida Brown (2:38) in the first-place match.
Great Bend's other state qualifiers are Sophia Bauer (100), Keira Leyva (105), Kayle Baldwin (115), Brooklyn Kelly (125), Micah Ellegood (130) and Rydlie Swanson (170).

SALINA — Hoisington's seven 4A state qualifiers are regional runner-up Tristin Compton (135), runner-up Neveah Graves (190), 3rd-place Trinity Graves (125), 5th-place Jayda Bailey (110), 7th-place Annabelle Gonzalez (115), 7th-place Mary Griffin (170) and 7th-place Amerie Hinz (235).
Larned's four state qualifiers are 3rd-place Mia Munden (145), 4th-place Miranda Nolde (105), 4th-place Cara Herbert (140) and 4th place Paizley Weizbrod (190).
Hoisington and Larned will compete at the 4A state tournament Friday/Saturday at Salina.
