MACKSVILLE — Macksville nearly rallied from a 12-0 deficit but failed to convert twice inside the Red Zone to lose 26-22 to Pratt Skyline in Friday's 8-Man 2, District 5 opener. Macksville advanced to the Skyline 7- and 18-yard line in the fourth quarter, but lost a fumble at the Thunderbird 7-yard line. Macksville's Brandon Franklin completed 11- and 32-yard touchdown passes to Samuel Torres. Franklin scored on a 3-yard run after Omar Cardoza recovered a fumble with Skyline first-and-goal. Skyline led 12-0 at halftime and converted a pair of third-quarter touchdowns.
