The Stafford County Historical & Genealogical Society will hold its Annual Meeting and Board Meeting at 9:30 a.m., Monday, Sept. 14, in the Stafford Co. Museum Library, 100 N. Main, Stafford. The Annual Meeting will include the election of directors, reports on Society activities, and consideration of proposed revisions to the Society’s bylaws. The proposed revisions update the Board structure and election procedures, modernize committee organization, clarify governance procedures, and make other editorial revisions to improve the clarity and administration of the bylaws. Copies of the complete proposed bylaws are available for review at the Museum. All Society members are encouraged to attend and participate in the business meeting. Members of the public and anyone interested in the history and heritage of Stafford County are also invited to attend, learn more about the Society’s work, and visit. Following the meeting, refreshments will be served.
