HOISINGTON — Teddy Inez Williamson, 86, passed away June 13, 2026, at Aster Estates, Great Bend, Kan. She was born April 4, 1940, in Walters County, Okla., to George Washington and Erma Lee Inez (Cannaday) Fennell. Teddy married Clayton Doyle Williamson March 11, 1960, in Hugo, Okla. He died June 17, 2019.

Teddy, a longtime resident of Hoisington, graduated from Antlers High School, Okla. Teddy proudly served her country in the Women’s Army Corp, the official women’s branch of the United States Army, from 1958 to 1961, stationed in Germany. She earned the rank of SP4. She furthered her education at Barton Community College and Fort Hays State University, receiving her bachelor’s degree in nursing.

Her commitment to serve others and passion for healthcare led her to a career in nursing at CKMC that spanned from 1978 to 1998. Teddy then continued her career at Clara Barton, retiring as the Director of Nursing in 2012. Teddy was a member of KSNA (Kansas State Nursing Association) District #7, served on the Nursing Education Board at BCC, was the parish nurse at First United Methodist Church, and was named Citizen of the Year in 2016.

Survivors include daughters, Jettie (Jeff) Zoller of Hoisington, Laura (Brad) Barnard of Hoisington, Karla Weeks of Reno, Nev., and Rita (Dane) Secrest of Checotah, Okla.; sister Ann Packard of Manford, Okla.; sister-in-law, Joy Unruh of Kearney, Mo.; former son-in-law, Brian Weeks; grandchildren, Daneil (fiancé Mary Maisano) Secrest of Edmond, Okla., Brance (Shayla) Barnard of Hoisington, Ryan Zoller of Gardner, Breanna Weeks of Salina, Matthew (Kristen) Secrest of Enid, Okla., Blaine (Deven Fortkamp) Barnard of Salina, Dr. Brooke (Chris) Mann of Hays, Jonathan Weeks of Salina, Bailey (Jake) Streit of Hoisington; great grandchildren, Alyssa Secrest, Maddie Kolas, Jaylin Kolas, Braelyn Weeks, Chase Secrest, Branson Barnard, Kenley Secrest, Huntley Streit, Shaylin Barnard, Renley Streit, Tess Mann, Kase Mann, Zoller Mann, Harper and Skylar Secrest, Misha Maisano and Preston Maisano. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton; sister, Nell Bruce; and 19 half brothers and sisters.

Friends may sign the book, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, June 16, 2026, and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, with family to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. There will be no viewing as cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, June 18, 2026, at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home in Hoisington, with a Nurses Honor Guard tribute and Pastor Don Fisher presiding. Inurnment for both Clayton and Teddy will follow at Hoisington City Cemetery with joint military honors conducted by the Ft. Riley Honor Guard.
