Indian baseball splits with Haven

LARNED — Larned's baseball team shocked Haven with a 5-run sixth inning to rally for an 8-5 second-game victory of Friday's Central Kansas League doubleheader.

Larned (2-7, 2-5 CKL) split with Haven (8-5, 4-5 CKL) after the Wildcats won a wild opener 16-13.

LARNED 8, HAVEN 5 (G2) — Reese Morgan doubled, Tristan Regan singled and Hunter Hobbs walked to start a 5-run sixth. Morgan scored on a bases-loaded walk.

Regan scored on Cooper Herbert's single. Hobbs scored on Owen Shaver's groundout. Shaver and Conner Spreier scored on a Haven error for an 8-5 lead.

Larned pitcher Anthony Gonzales earned the victory with two scoreless innings.

HAVEN 16, LARNED 13 (G1) — Larned yielded nine walks, hit three batters and committed four errors.

Larned's Mason Miller drove in three runs. Gonzalez and Luke Krehbiel each drove in two runs.

Haven's Jaxson Wilder and Aiden Herald each drove home three runs.
