A woman who reportedly battered her spouse with a mop handle was arrested Thursday morning, Great Bend Police Chief Steve Haulmark reports.

At approximately 10:44 a.m., officers with the Great Bend Police Department responded to the University of Kansas Health System - Great Bend campus, 514 Cleveland St., regarding a domestic disturbance report. Upon officers’ arrival, It was discovered the female half of the altercation, Judy Goodman, 68, battered the other party using a mop handle. Goodman was placed under arrest for aggravated battery. She was transported to the Barton County Jail where she was booked and held on a $75,000 bond. She was later released on her own recognizance.
