PUEBLO, Colo. — Frank P. Kipple, 91, passed away on Sept. 26, 2026 in Pueblo, Colo.

Survived by his wife, Jo-Ann (Peter) Kipple; sisters, Bonnie Kipple and Helen Earnst; daughters, Jené Herrera (Andy), Allison Kipple, and Terri Shaffer (Mike); grandchildren, Lindsey (Herrera) Romero, Michele (Herrera) Gard, Kris Gard, Carolyne, Isaac, and Benjamin Shaffer; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Romero, Kameron and Dylan Gard; step-great-grandchildren, Rylan and Lily Romero. Preceded in death by his brother James Kipple.

Frank was born to Paul and Ruth Kipple on March 25, 1935 in Long Island, Kan. He obtained a degree in Agricultural Engineering from Kansas State University and was employed as a hydrographer for most of his career, beginning at the Kansas Geological Survey in Ellinwood, Kan. and concluding at the Colorado Division of Water Resources in Pueblo. He volunteered for Meals on Wheels and Master Gardener programs for many years after his retirement. He was also an active member of the Pueblo County Historical Society and Heritage Museum, including the Irish Club and Archaeological Society.
