CLAFLIN — Remi Lynn Hekele, born into the arms of her parents Cameron and Bailee (Bachar) Hekele, on April 26, 2026, at the University of Kansas Health System Great Bend, Kan.

She will be forever remembered and cherished by her maternal grandparents, Jay and Kelly Bachar of Hoisington; and paternal grandparents, Larry and Brenda Hekele of Claflin; and great grandparents, Dan and Linda Michaelis of Claflin; a multitude of loving aunts and uncles, Brooke Bachar and fiancé Damon Luerman, with cousin, Colter Luerman, and Brent Bachar all of Hoisington, Ryanne Martin and husband Tyler of Maize, Janae Garner and husband Bryce of St. John, Morgan Travis and husband Sam of Hoisington, Megan Khalidi and husband Tarek of Doha, Qatar, Carolyn Rolo and husband Josh of Royse City, Texas, Lynn Swafford and husband David of Parkville, Mo., Kristyn Similton and husband Larry of Mulvane, Andrea Jessup and husband Matt of Wichita, and Aaron Hekele and wife Christina of Olathe; and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her great grandparents, Joan Breford, Glenn Breford, Jan Bachar and Alex and Eleanor Hekele.

A private family service will take place with burial in Pleasantview Cemetery, Claflin, Kan.

Remi will be honored and live on through the generous gift of organ donation.
