ELLINWOOD — The Sylvan Lucas Mustangs swept Ellinwood's softball team 6-5 and 10-0 in Monday's non-league twin bill.
The Eagles (8-16) are projected to play at Stanton County (16-6) May 19 in the Hays 2-1A softball regional.
SYLVAN-LUCAS 6, EAGLES 5 (G1) — Lily Pancost tripled home Teryn Spear with the game-winning run.
Ellinwood's Jenaveve Franco drove home two runs. Jenna Sandberg and Jayci Sandberg each drove home a run.
Eagle pitcher Bennett Jacobs (7-15) yielded five earned runs.
SYLVAN-LUCAS 10, EAGLES 0 (G2) — Mustang pitcher Harlee Nelson struck out nine Eagles and permitted three hits. Jacobs, Shyria Quintana and Jenna Sandberg singled.
Mustang Harlee Nelson and Montana Griffin each drove home two runs.
MINNEAPOLIS 15, EAGLES 8 (G1) — Eagle Shyria Quintana homered, doubled and drove home three runs. Franco drove in two runs May 8.
Minneapolis' Hadley Hamel drove in three runs. Sarai Ausherman delivered four hits.
MINNEAPOLIS 14, EAGLES 4 (G2) — Minneapolis pounded out eight extra-base hits against Bennett Jacobs. Ausherman drove home three runs.
Ellinwood's Quintana singled twice and drove home two runs. Anna Hahn doubled home a run.
