Indians split with Vikings

LARNED — Larned (1-6, 1-4 CKL) rallied for an 11-1 victory to gain a split with Smoky Valley in Tuesday's Central Kansas League baseball doubleheader.

LARNED 11, VIKINGS (G2) 1 — Larned's Anthony Gonzalez, Mason Miller and Reese Morgan homered to spark the Indians.

Gonzalez ripped a 2-run homer and Hunter Hobbs doubled home Regan in a 3-run first inning. In a 3-run third, Mason Miller scored on a groundout, Hobbs delivered an RBI single and scored on a passed ball.

Reese Morgan's 2-run homer was followed by Regan scoring on a fourth-inning groundout for a 9-0 lead. Mason Miller homered and Kade Johnson scored on an error.

Larned pitcher Tristan Regan struck out 10 Vikings in a 3-hit outing.

VIKINGS 11, LARNED 1 (G1) — Reese Morgan singled home Miller for Larned's run.

Viking Kylan Lindquist drove home three runs and Kaleb Burgardt drove in two runs.
