HILLSBORO — Larned's Reece Morgan drove in five runs to spark the Indians' opening 10-5 baseball victory over Hillsboro.

The Trojans gained a split with a 9-7 victory in Tuesday's Central Kansas League baseball twin bill.

Larned (3-8, 3-6 CKL) dropped Hillsboro to 4-8, 1-7 CKL.

LARNED 10, HILLSBORO 5 (G1) — Reece Morgan's 3-run Homer led to an early 6-0 lead.

Hunter Hobbs, Mason Miller and Tristan Regan also drove home Indian runs. Kade Johnson's bunt that was misplayed also brought home a run.

HILLSBORO 9, LARNED 7 (G2) — Hillsboro rallied from a 5-0 deficit behind five unearned runs and nine walks issued by Larned's pitchers.

Kade Johnson drove in three runs for the Indians. Reece Morgan, Luke Krehbiel and Mason Miller also drove home runs.

Hillsboro's Aiden Hurst drove home Braden Thiessen with the tying run. Ashton Talkington scored on an error for the winning run.
