MOUNDRIDGE 49, ELLINWOOD 26

MOUNDRIDGE — The Moundridge Wildcats started and finished with 21 points to down Ellinwood 49-26 in Friday's non-league football game.

Ellinwood scored 14 points in the third quarter to cut Moundridge's lead to 28-26. Moundridge outscored Ellinwood 21-0 in the fourth quarter.

Moundridge’s Tione Wilson scored four touchowns and rushed for 184 yards on 30 carries. Quarterback Alex Rose completed 8-of-12 passes for 125 yards and three touchdowns.

Rose completed touchdown passes to Jaxson Shahan, Logan Greenwalt and Josh Koehn. Cyrus Blough converted seven of his extra points.

Moundridge rushed for 207 yards and passed for 125 yards for 332 yards offense.

Moundridge (2-1) drops Ellinwood to 0-2. Ellinwood plays at Lyons Sept. 25.
