EL DORADO — Two-time 5A state champion Cooper Ohnmacht debuted in the 2026 season with a first-place triple jump (43-111/2) at Friday's El Dorado Track Invitational.
Ohnmacht placed fourth in the long jump (20-10) with a season-best leap.
Panther past state qualifier Tavon Stroup finished third with a career best time (1:55.89).
Posting season-best efforts were Luke Beck, 300 hurdles (43.31) and Landon Hubbard, 800 (2:00.04).
Great Bend's girls scored 98 points to finish runner-up behind Wichita Kapaun Mt. Carmel (104).
Great Bend sprinter Karys Leu won the 100 meters (12.37) with a runner-up medal in the 200 meters (26.19).
MacKenzie Lindberg won the javelin with a season-best throw (108-7). Jaya Stroup won the high jump (5-2).
Posting season-best times were Sydney Stein, 800 (2:24.65); Decorah Schroeter, 1,600 (5:18.29); Stevie Mayers, shot put (33-61/2); and Kayle Baldwin, pole vault (10-0).
