Larned High School Student, Dakota Bradley, was recently named Miss Kansas Teen Volunteer for 2027.

She won her title at the Kansas competition held at Leavenworth, Kansas in September of 2026, while competing against 10 other contestants.

The Miss Kansas Teen Volunteer contest is an official state preliminary competition that awards educational scholarships and empowers young women through service, leadership, and volunteerism.

It feeds directly into the national Miss Teen Volunteer America Pageant. The core pillars are scholarship, education, responsibility, volunteerism and empowerment. Contestants highlight personal community service initiatives and participate in local group volunteer projects while attending the pageant weekend.

At the pageant in Leavenworth, the contestants were judged by an opening number dance, fitness competition, talent competition and gown competition.

Following the competition the crowning was held for Miss Kansas Volunteer and Miss Kansas Teen Volunteer titleholders.

Bradley stated that her slogan is “turning pain into power” and “The Power Of One” is her S.E.R.V.E. initiative.

She is a sophomore at Larned High School and Sophomore President of STUCO and Vice President of Future Business Leaders America (FBLA), and a member of Larned High School’s Cheer Squad.

By becoming Miss Kansas Teen Volunteer for 2027, Bradley qualified to compete at the national competition in Jackson, Tennessee in March of 2027. Bradley succeeds Miss Kansas Teen Volunteer 2026, Averie Mountain of Andover High School.

Dakota is the daughter of Miles and Lindsey Bradley of Larned.
