A Kansas City, Kansas man died in a one-vehicle crash on Friday, Dec. 6, in Rice County. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Gabriel Herron, 26, was the only occupant in a 2005 Honda Element that went off U.S. 56 at 6:29 a.m. The vehicle was westbound near 28th Road when it left the roadway to the right. The driver over-corrected and the vehicle went back onto the road, then back into the ditch where it rolled twice.

Herron was pronounced dead at the scene.
