Ohnmacht shines at Derby track

DERBY — Two-time triple jump state champion Cooper Ohnmacht posted season bests with first in the triple jump (44-61/2), second in the javelin (160-5) and fourth in the long jump (21-111/4) at Friday's Derby Track Invitational.

Great Bend's Brogan Lashley posted a career-best first-place time in the 3,200 meters (10:10.95).

Panther Tavon Stroup won the 800 meters (1:57.97) and Landon Hubbard was runner-up (2:02.12).

Great Bend's boys scored 57 points to finish fourth.

GIRLS DIVISION — Great Bend's girls won the 3,200-meter relay (9:59.42) with Sydney Stein, Bella Long, Decorah Schroeter and Reese Bullard.

Karys Leu placed runner-up in the 200 meters (26.04) and third in the 100 meters (12.4).

Great Bend's girls scored 57 points and placed fifth.
