Ex-Hoisington volleyball coach Tina Johnson.

Great Bend volleyball coach Tina Johnson knows the Johnny Cash lyrics, "I've been everywhere man."

Johnson surpassed another achievement with her 700th career high school victory when the state-ranked 5A Panthers swept four matches to defend its Great Bend Invitational volleyball championship. Johnson coached Hoisington to a state runner-up finish.

The Panthers rolled past Newton 25-15, 25-11 to finish the day with a 4-0 record. Great Bend (23-3, 6-0 WAC) is on target to secure a 5A homecourt substate for postseason. The Panthers have qualified for 5A state volleyball the past two years.
