Re-elect Zimmerman to Board of Education
Public Forum.jpg

To the editor:

Ann Zimmerman of Salina is running for a spot on the Kansas State Board of Education, District 7. She is a graduate of K-State with a degree in elementary education, and she taught school in the Kansas City area. Then she was accepted at the Harvard School of Law, and passed her bar examination to receive a license to practice law. After working for Kansas Legal Services in Wichita and Manhattan, Ann returned to Salina and established an office dedicated to out-of-court conflict resolution.

Perhaps the most important aspects of her education, though, are the Kansas values of honesty, fair dealing, integrity, and respect for others; these values were instilled in her as a child. As a musician, she writes and sings of the Kansas prairie, and loves to tour Kansas schools to share her songs with the kids.

She was elected to the Salina Board of Education for three terms. Her Kansas family values and public education, along with her post high school education and professional mediation skills, have earned for her a high degree of cooperation and trust, for the benefit of students, staff, and parents.

Ann is dedicated to ensuring a quality education for Kansas students in order that they will have the tools needed to make successful life decisions as adults.

A vote for Ann is a vote for our kids!
