Kinsley baseball earns two wins

KINSLEY — The Kinsley/Macksville baseball team swept Minneola 14-4 following an opening 7-0 forfeit when the Wildcats didn't have nine players ready to play Friday.

Kinsley (6-12) drops Minneola to 2-15.

KINSLEY 14, MINNEOLA 4 — Kinsley pitcher Woodrow Lancaster struck out eight batters and drove home three runs with three triples. Joshua Stuckey scored four runs and drove home two runs.

The Coyotes scored two runs on bases-loaded walks, two runs on errors, two on groundouts and one on a balk and one on a passed ball.

After a 2-run first, Ty Clawson singled home Joey Prieto and Clawson scored on Kaleb Granger's triple. Granger scored on a Joseph Marquez groundout for a 6-3 lead.

Lancaster's double scored Cade Chamberlain and Stuckey in a 2-run fourth. Lane Hattrup scored on Stuckey's groundout. Stuckey scored on Lancaster's double after singling home Braydon Lund in a 3-run seventh.
